“The Bishop in Europe is pleased to announce that he has offered the two posts of Chaplain of All Saints Chaplaincy in Vevey, and Chaplain of St Peter’s Chaplaincy in Chateau d’Oex, Switzerland, to the Revd. Mark Fletcher, currently Minister in Charge of the ‘Church on the Corner’, Islington, in the Diocese of London. Mark has accepted this, though of course the offer is subject to completion of the usual formalities. Mark and his wife Angela expect to move to Vevey once he has fulfilled his notice period to his current Parish and the necessary formalities have been finalised.” The two licensing services will be organised once a better understanding has been made of the timeframe for the process of obtaining the necessary work clearances.

We would like to add that this is really excellent news and almost brings to end what has been a much longer vacancy period than any of us had thought at the onset. The process to find our new Chaplain has been a long and careful one and I would particularly like to give thanks to all those who have been part of this discernment process, especially Revd Richard Bromley at ICS. Thanks also to all those who have worked so hard in keeping our mission and ministry activities on-going. I would also ask that you hold Mark and Angela in your prayers as they bring to an end their ministry in the Diocese of London, and prepare to come to join us in Switzerland.
