As we are all aware, there is a growing concern regarding the spread of the coronavirus.  Conscious that we need to monitor this as it develops, and in light of advice from both the Diocese and local health agencies, we would offer the following (in the short term) as we gather each Sunday in worship.

As our hands are far more likely to be a source of germs than lips, please be meticulous in proper hand washing. On Sunday, you will find antiseptic gels throughout the Church building. Thanks for using them.  With respect to Communion and our use of the Common Cup, the Bishop writes, “Should a communicant not wish to drink from the chalice then he or she ought to receive the consecrated bread alone. It is Anglican teaching that to receive the sacrament in one kind only is to receive the sacrament in its entirety.”

Please do not hesitate to speak to the Chaplain or Church Wardens if you have any questions.
