Friday 7th June at 20h00 (coffee & dessert from 19h30)]
Farel House, Huémoz
Concern that certain points of view, when expressed, can cause people harm has generated the demand in western culture for “Safe Spaces” and even the “Deplatforming” of more controversial speakers especially in our universities. While safety is a good thing, it is perhaps having an impact on our young people that has some negative consequences. Young people today are safer than they have ever been and yet suffer from anxiety and depression at levels like never before. Richard Bradford will explore how we have gotten to this place and then look at the importance of risk in our lives and at God’s promise of security.
Please park at Farel house (46°17’30.8″N 7°01’45.7″E) and not the main student building.
