Giving

General Information on Giving at All Saints

Generous giving of money is part and parcel of being a follower of Jesus and a member of His Church. As a Christian Family at All Saints', He calls us to give a portion of our financial resources and to give with purpose.

When we give we are celebrating the truth that He is the very source and sustainer of our lives and that everything we have comes from Him. In response to His lavish generosity we give back to Him out of what he has so freely given us.

When we give we are also expressing our love for Him. Giving is a statement that says we hold Jesus in higher regard than our money and that we place a higher value upon loving Him than loving the temporal things of this world.

When we give we are investing in Jesus' purposes for our world. He came to seek and to save the lost, a ministry the Church of today carries on. The Bible is very practical in its recognition that mission and ministry need financial investment and support. Our giving releases and enables such ministry to happen.

A Purpose Driven Church

Did you know nearly every second person living in the wider Vevey area speaks English, while more that 3,000 English speaking people have moved here to work. The community of All Saints' exists to serve this English speaking community and to share the love of Jesus with them. Unlike the vast majority of local Churches that are supported by the State, All Saints' is self-financing.

This means that the ministry of our Church is completely dependent upon the generous giving of its members. Such generous giving makes it possible to employ a Chaplain and a Youth Worker. Generous giving allows us to maintain and develop a high quality facility as well as provide a wide spectrum of programmes for all ages.

Three Ways to Give

There are three ways in which you can give at All Saints'.

The Sunday Offering

As part of our worship, an offering is taken at each Sunday service.

The Planned Giving Scheme

By far and away the most helpful way to give to the ministry of our Church is through what is known as the Planned Giving Scheme. This is a form of pledging where people commit themselves to a certain level of giving each week/month. The amount that you pledge is entirely up to you and remains confidential.

Giving in this fashion not only enables the Church to budget with some accuracy but it also frees the Chaplaincy Council to make decisions for the future with confidence. You can give through the Planned Giving Scheme by:

Weekly Envelopes

Weekly Envelopes are used by many members of the Church into which they place their gift. The envelopes are then placed in the Offering Bags during the Sunday Service. Envelopes are available from Mr. John Tyler (Tel. 021 921 09 55)

Bulletins de Versement

Bulletins de Versement are what some know as Post Office Payment slips. Envelopes containing 12 Bulletins de Versement (one for each month) are available at the back of Church.

Planned Giving Scheme

To give through the Planned Giving Scheme, simply fill in a form that can be found in the Planned Giving Scheme Envelopes on the stand at the back of the Church.
