All Saints Gift Day - Sunday 2nd June
On Sunday 2nd June there will be a special Gift Day towards improving the lighting in the Church.  Currently lighting in the Nave is provided by strip lights along each wall in addition to some spot lighting in the transepts and sanctuary.   The Council’s aim is to provide lighting in the Nave which can be adapted to varying degrees of daylight; be adjustable to provide a variety of atmospheres appropriate to the variety of worship services we offer; and which ensures that Power Point is clearly readable.  In addition we would like to ensure adequate lighting in the Sanctuary which is adjustable and which highlights the beauty of our Church Building.  We also wish to ensure a well lit porch and lighting for the stair well into the Church Hall.  A lighting architect has recently visited the church and an accurate figure of the costs will be available soon.

Women's Prayer Walk
Saturday 8th June at 9am
On Saturday 8th June at 9am, a group of women will be meeting in the church carpark to do a ‘prayer walk’ around Vevey. We did this a few years ago and for most of us it was a completely new experience, but thoroughly enjoyable. We will leave in small groups walking in different directions and will pause to pray for the schools, hospitals and churches etc that we pass. We can also offer up prayers of thanksgiving for the gorgeous views of lake and mountains. Feel free to join us even if you don’t feel comfortable praying out loud, God hears our silent prayers too!Tea and coffee will be provided afterwards and we aim to finish by 11am. For more information please contact Maxine K at maxandrich@bluewin.ch

Chaplaincy Weeked Away

Key Appeal
If anyone has a church hall key that they are not using often (more than once a month), please could they return to Clive or Louise (email admin@allsaints.ch ).

Sunday Service Rota
A new Worship Service rota is now being prepared for the months of June to August.  Forms will be available at the back of Church which allow you to sign up for a variety of service opportunities such as Welcoming, Scripture Reading, Serving at Communion, leading the intercessions and serving coffee.

During the past year the number of people volunteering for these roles has dropped significantly and to address this, Louise (our Church Administrator) has sent out weekly appeals for help.  We feel this is an unhealthy approach placing pressure on Louise and filling everyone’s “inbox” with emails.  From the beginning of June we will stop doing this.

To ensure that all our services have Welcomers, offer coffee etc, please take time to fill in a form and send it back.  Thank you for helping the Council address this issue

Youth & Children's Co-ordinator

We are a growing Anglican church with around 250 people of many nationalities bound together by a love of Christ and His cause. We are seeking a dynamic Youth & Children’s Co-ordinator from September 2013 who will co-ordinate our ministry to children and young people.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in children’s and youth ministry, and be fluent in English. Enhanced disclosure/back ground check required.  Vevey is between Lausanne & Montreux, & borders Lake Geneva. For more information contact Rev. Clive Atkinson at All Saints' Anglican Chaplaincy, Ave de la Prairie, 1, 1800, Vevey, Switzerland (cliveatkinson@bluewin.ch, www.allsaints.ch).

Vienna, Sommernachtkonzert
