Sermon Topic – Psalm 1
At the heart of the Bible is a collection of ancient writings known as wisdom literature. They are inspired, time tested, hard earned perspectives on how to live well in the midst of the trials and tribulations of life. And our reading from Psalm 1 pictures a tree in a desert land, rooted by streams of water with roots that go deep that allow the tree to flourish and bear fruit, even through times of drought and survive even the hardest times.
And it is a picture of those who seek out and root themselves in the wisdom of God. Over the coming weeks we plan to explore more of this ancient and inspired wisdom and seek to walk in step with the God’s wisdom.
