Sermon Topic – Resisting Temptation: 1 Corinthinas 10 v 13 and Acts 15 v 1-22
Paul Zaphiriou talked to us about the temptation to give up. He talked about how we as a church are to engage with challenge and difference of opinion and come together around what it is that the Holy Spirit is doing through the work that we do. He talked about the desire of the church to create conformity whereas God is rejoicing in our diversity, and how in our weakness is God’s strength.
13 No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.
